Worship in Spirit & Truth Part1 "Where do you worship?"

"John 4:23 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

In this portion of scripture we read about the Samaritan woman who had a conversation with Jesus about worship. We see that she mention to Jesus about her forefathers that use to worship on the mountain and about the Jews that worshipped in Jerusalem. And the answer that Jesus gave her was very profound. He told her that a time is coming when people will neither worship on the mountain nor in Jerusalem. The time has come and it is now that people will "worship the Father in spirit and in truth". The mistake that this Samaritan woman made is something that is happening in our time today too. People associate worship with places, circumstances, and church buildings, music and with traditions. We have totally lost touch with what True Worship is and what it means. This woman couldn't worship anywhere, but the mountain, because that is what she was told to do and was tradition. But she was totally missing the point, because worship is not about where you are or about what the circumstances are. Worship is all about God, and it is all about relationship with God. We have moved into an era where people put more emphasis on their locations, their excellence, about what they have and about how good they are at what they do.
